This session will equip you with practical negotiation techniques, navigate discussions, reach agreements, and improve communication skills.

Target Audience

Anyone in internal & external transactional or partnership situation

 

Objectives:

In this course, you will discover and master fundamental negotiation techniques derived from four key principles:

  • Prepare, Prepare, Prepare: Learn the importance of thorough preparation before entering any negotiation. Understand how to gather relevant information, anticipate challenges, and set clear objectives to position yourself for success.
     
  • Think Holistically: Develop a comprehensive view of the negotiation process, considering all aspects and potential impacts. Learn to assess the situation from multiple angles to identify opportunities and solutions that benefit all parties involved.
     
  • Think Like the Other Side: Gain insights into the perspectives and motivations of the other party. By understanding their needs and concerns, you can tailor your approach to foster cooperation and build mutually beneficial agreements.
     
  • Work Towards the End Result: Focus on the desired outcome and navigate the negotiation process strategically. Learn how to maintain a clear vision of your goals while being flexible and adaptive to achieve a successful resolution.

In addition to learning these principles, you will have the opportunity to apply them through engaging negotiation case studies. Benefit from group practice sessions, where you can refine your skills, receive feedback, and collaborate with peers to enhance your negotiation prowess. This hands-on experience will equip you with the tools and confidence to navigate negotiations effectively in your professional environment.

 

Your Trainer

Jean-Yves Jouas is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in the aeronautics, automotive, and infrastructure industries.

He has held management roles in R&D, project management, purchasing, and business development, and has provided insights as an expert for McKinsey & Company in Japan and Europe.

Since 2019, he has worked as a freelance consultant and represents two French companies in Japan, promoting international collaboration.

Known for his ability to engage at any level, from CEOs to operators, Jean-Yves excels in building trust-based relationships, always with a touch of humor.
