After receiving his master's degree in pharmaceutical science, Jun Suzuki began his career at L'Oréal as an Applied Research Scientist in 2013. Since then, he has developed core technologies for the company in the areas of optical materials, photoprotection, and biological actives. Among his recent notable achievements is the development of Melasyl™, a new captive skin-brightening active launched this year.
Beyond his technical expertise, Jun is also passionate about sustainability. In 2022, he was appointed leader of the Japan R&I sustainability program. Now animating local sustainability initiatives, as well as promoting Green Science technologies originated from Japan to the global R&I tea
