Born in Japan, growing up in Paris until the age of 11, Jun entered MEXT in 2004. During her career, she has been involved in research funds in the field of science and technology, legal reform in elementary, secondary, and higher education, the establishment of the Tobitate program, among others. She served as a diplomat at the delegation of Japan to UNESCO in Paris from 2019 to 2023. Currently, she is involved in the formulation of cultural economic strategies and promotion of museums at the Agency for Cultural Affairs. Jun obtained a B.A in Law from Hitotsubashi University, including a one year exchange in Science Po. Paris and an MBA from Harvard business school.
