Xavier DORFMANJapan Rowing Association National Head Coach

Xavier Dorfman has been the head coach of Japan National Rowing Team since 2016.
He was born in 1973 and started rowing within the Grenoble rowing club. His specialty was the lightweight coxless pair and the lightweight coxless four and got several medals at the world championships and got a gold medal at Sydney Olympics in 2000.
Most recently, Ryuta Arakawa who is in Japan National Team has finished third in the men’s single scull without weight restriction at World Cup, as the first time for Japanese athlete to stand on the podium and finally, he got the 8th place at 2023 World Rowing Championships, which means Japan got a seat for Paris Olympics 2024.
