Yuasa Soy Sauce’s journey in France began with exporting its traditional Japanese soy sauce. However, a pivotal moment led to the decision to start producing soy sauce locally. This sparked a unique collaboration with a Bordeaux winery, blending Japanese expertise in fermentation with French craftsmanship.
What made this project truly special was the fusion of two rich traditions, creating a one-of-a-kind product. But beyond the product itself, the most rewarding part has been the deep bond formed between the Japanese and French teams—almost like family.
Today, this partnership continues, and seeing the soy sauce embraced by the French people, with some even calling it the best in the world, is a source of immense pride. It is a testament to the power of cultural exchange and shared passion.
